Thanksgiving in Nashville

This year, I was able to spend Thanksgiving with my brother Kevin in Nashville!  He has lived there for going on six years, and this is the first time that I have visited him.  It was really fun to be able to hang out, be with family for a holiday, and to see Kevin’s life in Tennessee.

I road tripped down there with 3 other girls from here at MTC, so it worked out really nice, as they all traveled on a couple more hours to one of the girls houses in Tennessee.

It was a really good break, and just a great time to hang out.  We did a lot of just sightseeing, did a lot of hiking (I got to see my first waterfall!),  and a lot of just hanging out.

In the first picture….it may look like I’m in Greece….but no- in Nashville Tennessee…there is a replica of the Parthenon that we went to see.

In the picture of Kevin…it is at Fall Creek Falls- a state park where we hiked around to see a lot of different waterfalls.  It was beautiful weather and a great place to hike around.

We spent Thanksgiving with a family from his church which was really fun.  They had the Thanksgiving meal in the evening…which is really different than what I am used to, but it was really nice.

So, it was definitely a fun trip….and both Kevin and I will be home for Christmas- so we didn’t have to say goodbye for too long!

I hope that all you out there had an excellent weekend spending time with family, friends, etc.  And now….Let the Christmas season begin!  Tomorrow is December!
