Christ is my Sufficiency!

Standard

In Christ we have a love that can never be fathomed; a life that can never die; a righteousness that can never be tarnished; a peace that can never be understood; a rest that can never be disturbed; a joy that can never be diminished; a hope that can never be disappointed; a glory that can never be clouded; a light that can never be darkened; a happiness that can never be interrupted; a strength that can never be enfeebled; a purity that can never be defiled; a beauty that can never be marred; a wisdom that can never be baffled; and resources that can never be exhausted.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete- not lacking anything.”       James 1:2-4                                                                                                                                In our womens Sunday School class at church, we have been studying a lot about contentment in different areas of our lives.  This has been really good and challenging, since it is definitely something that I struggle to find.  A couple of weeks ago, we talked about worrying, and how it really is sin, and how when we worry- it is us trying to be in control and not trusting God.

I have been challenged a lot to look at things with the character of God in mind.  Why do we worry when we KNOW that God is in control, that He is Sovereign….that He LOVES us, that He has our best in mind, and desires us to be conformed to the image of Christ.  There is nothing that is out of His control or plans…..He knows, and He cares.  God will never be surprised by anything, or be faced with a situation that He doesn’t know what to do with.

Our God is SOOO good, and I am very grateful to Him for all the work that He has been doing in my life!

Know that He has a plan, and that He is in control!
