It was a BRIGHT, BRIGHT, SUNSHINY DAY! Classes were good this morning….and after a long wait for more springtime weather- it finally arrived today!
After lunch, I went on a bike ride to do some errands, and then just rode around until I found a good park to lay on the grass and read! Then, I just spent some time reading in 1 Peter….
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light! Once, you were not a people- but now you are the people of God; once, you had not received mercy, but now– you have received mercy!” ~1 Peter 2:9-10
This passage is really encouraging- just in showing how God has planned good things for us, how He has chosen us and wants to use us in proclaiming His glory in all the earth! Also, I love the two times that “but now” is used. It shows us just the beauty of the contrast of our lives before Christ and our lives after Christ. We are no longer what we were before we believed- because Christ has completely CHANGED us! We are New Creations in Him! (1 Corinthians 5:17)
We have only 9 school days left!!!! Craziness! But, I’m going to try and enjoy my last days here as much as possible- because I sure am going to miss people!
Have a great night everyone!
