“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas to Everyone!
It’s actually Christmas night, and the day is over. The season of Christmas is always sort of a letdown for me, just cause I get so excited and anxious for it to come, and then it passes so quickly. But, today was an excellent day with my family……..
So grateful for a lovely family to spend Christmas with! This morning I was just thinking about how much the celebration of Christmas- remembering Christ coming to earth, becoming a man to be the sacrifice for our sins- is just such an act of God’s grace. I tend to think of God’s grace more during the season of Easter, or just thinking about the cross and resurrection- but really, the act of God sending His Son (Jn. 3:16) began when Christ took on human form and came to the earth as a tiny baby. Christmas is such a beautiful time to celebrate our redemption! Only since Christ came to earth were we able to be saved! He is so Good and Faithful!
